Single day fast

• Weekly Fast Unless a fast-free period has been declared, Orthodox Christians are to keep a strict fast every Wednesday and Friday.
• Eve of the Theophany. (Kreshchenskyi Sochelnik). Saturday before the Nativity and before the Baptism of Our Lord and God and Saviour Jesus Christ. Fast Day. – 18th of January.
• The Beheading of the Glorious Prophet, Forerunner, and Baptist John. Fast day – Friday, 11th of September
• The Universal Exaltation of the Precious and Life-giving Cross. Fast day. – Sunday, 27th of September
